Fortum is to creating energy that improves life for present and future generations. Fortum wants to improve their customer experience and create innovative ways of giving value to their existing and potential customers.
Fortum asked us to help design the newest member of their Fiksu product family with a strong user centric approach. Fiksu is a service that allows consumers to optimize and analyze their electricity consumption. Customers can adjust their home to follow their lifestyle. Fiksu has been co-created with Fortum’s clients who are participating a pilot program that tests the designed service.
The project started with a service vision sprint in which the multidisciplinary team defined technological threads and possibilities, an early business model and interviewed the key stakeholders to create an early concept of the service and the product.
Together with Fortum’s core product team we designed the initial concept, conducted user interviews and defined a viable business model for the service. We designed the Fiksu service by keeping in mind the entire customer journey from product awareness to the online and offline ordering process. All the way up to the installation of the product at customer’s home.
We designed the responsive Fiksu application and tested the concept with end users in co-creation workshops. We also designed and implemented series of marketing tests to try out the value proposition of the service.
